There were so many Teddy Bears and other stuffed animals being left at the three shrines they were removed and given out at the local hospitals. They simply reappeared and more were distributed and more returned as the Tucson Community fought to find its soul after such a infamous event, many turned to helping others. At years end the Tucson Toy Drive enjoyed a historic $300,000 toy drive for a Southern Arizona record.
