Oligocene mammal tracks trapped in sediment by runoff from Southern Arizona's Galiuro Mountains thought to be between 30-27 Million years old. Found some distance from the present flow of the San Pedro River, the rare find, demonstrates the meandering of the San Pedro over the epohs of time.. The tracks measuring between 8-15 inches suggest, parents and juveniles, and a weight of about 2200 pounds, light for mega fauna of that time.
