I grew up in central Missouri, and about the time I was born the Old Order Amish moved into the county and began buying up farms and creating a colony for their religion. Today about 2000 Amish fill that colony and others are popping up where land can be found. Over the years I have come to know some of these families and always stop in to visit and photograph when in Missouri.
