Many schools and groups responed to the shooting with their group monuments so the dialouge was opened at schools and on the playground. Bullying has been targeted and when told of what had happened one girl told her dad, "Maybe now people will use their kind words." Many of the placards carried photos of Gabby with their group or talking with them or recognizing kids for their efforts
